Equoral (cyclosporin) and Nimesil (nimesulide) can be used together, but with caution.
Nimesil is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that can put a strain on the gastrointestinal tract and kidneys, which increases the risk of hypertension, swelling and impaired kidney function with long-term use. If the pain is very severe and Nimesil has helped so far, it is best to consult your doctor to rule out contraindications and determine a safe dose and duration of use. If you get side effects such as abdominal pain, bleeding or kidney problems, stop taking the medicine immediately.
