Mesopral may reduce the antifungal effectiveness of Itrax and the treatment may not give satisfactory results.
It may be worth consulting the doctor who recommended taking Mesopral and determining how long you want to take the drug and start using Itrax only after you have stopped taking Mesopral.
Please bear in mind that long-term use of PPIs (including Mesopral) may lead, among m.in, to an increased risk of vitamin B12, iron, magnesium and calcium deficiency, the development of osteoporosis and bone fractures, malabsorption of certain drugs, increased susceptibility to gastrointestinal infections (e.g. Clostridioides difficile), chronic gastritis. Therefore, it is all the more important to consult a doctor whether it is safe to continue taking Mesopral in your case.
