Taurine used in recommended doses is a fairly safe preparation (it is an amino acid naturally synthesized in the human body).
Contraindications to taking taurine are congenital defects in amino acid metabolism, as well as severe kidney and liver disorders and an unstable clinical condition (severe post-traumatic conditions, heart attack, stroke, uncontrolled diabetes).
No pharmacologically significant interaction of taurine and anticoagulants (coumarin and heparin derivatives) was observed.
