Ozempic is not approved for use in patients with type 1 diabetes. Nevertheless, there are cases where the drug is prescribed – outside the indications contained in the leaflet, the so-called off-label – for obese patients with type 1 diabetes.
However, studies on the use of semaglutide (the active substance in Ozempic) in this group of patients are still ongoing.
So follow your doctor's instructions.
