After administration of Prolia (denosumab), it is not recommended to massage the injection site as this may increase the risk of local side effects such as redness, swelling or pain.

The drug itself is absorbed properly regardless, but massaging does not improve its effect and can only intensify skin irritation. It is best to leave the injection site alone and possibly gently apply a cold compress if discomfort occurs.
