Lamotrigine concentrations of 5.38 μg/ml are in the lower therapeutic range (typically 3–14 μg/ml), so these symptoms do not necessarily result from an overdose.

However, the addition of Neurotope (contains carbamazepine) may cause side effects, especially at the beginning of treatment. Symptoms such as weakness, trembling or fainting may be the result of medication interactions or too quick a change in therapy. Such symptoms require immediate consultation with the treating physician, who may adjust the dose or change the treatment regimen. Do not stop taking medication on your own, and if your symptoms worsen or other worrying symptoms appear, see your doctor or emergency room urgently.

Please remember that side effects of medications should be reported to your doctor or individually. By reporting side effects, you help other patients, including your relatives, who may also need the same drug one day.
