Can Prolia cause neurological problems such as difficulty speaking and dementia and can I stop taking it?
12.99 zł

Can Prolia affect speech difficulties? Affect the acceleration of neurological changes in the brain/dementia? Mom behaves strangely about 2 months after the first injection. Can I stop taking prolia? Or then a return to the older generation of drugs! My mother is 2 years after breaking her thigh. Which doctor deals with this- Mom got a prescription from an endocrinologist. The doctor checked the side effects in front of me by reading the leaflet.

If alarming symptoms appear about two months after starting treatment, it is worth consulting a neurologist and the attending physician.

Prolia (denosumab) rarely causes neurological symptoms, but in isolated cases dizziness, confusion or muscle weakness may occur. Abrupt discontinuation of Prolia may increase the risk of fractures, so the decision to change therapy should be carefully considered – bisphosphonates are often used then.
