Is it possible to stay sexually active during treatment with Dalacin vaginal cream?

I have just had a treatment with Dalacin V, Vaginal Cream. a total of 9 days. My gynecologist told me that I can have sexual intercourse despite the treatment? I also had this yesterday with my life partner, of course unprotected!! Is this a problem now that I am still in treatment?
