Is the Evra patch properly applied and works despite the spotting?
19.00 zł

Hello, I use Evra patches. Tomorrow I'm changing the 2nd patch to the 3rd. I still have light spotting, which the gynaecologist mentioned to me that it can appear at the beginning of use. But yesterday I had intercourse finished in the middle of the vagina. And the patch looks like this. Has the protection been maintained?

The patch is applied correctly. The fact that dirt accumulates on its edges is normal and does not affect its effectiveness, protection is maintained at all times.
You should apply another patch according to the scheme, which in your case is tomorrow.

The relationship you mention was secured and there is no reason to worry.

Spotting at the beginning of using any contraceptive is typical and should not be alarming either. This is the body's reaction to the supply of hormones and does not indicate a decrease in the effectiveness of contraception.
