Concomitant use of Aklief (trifarotene) and Izotek (oral isotretinoin) is not normally recommended due to the increased risk of skin irritation and dryness. Both preparations have a keratolytic effect and can overload the skin. The decision to combine them should be made by a dermatologist after assessing the condition of the patient's skin and the potential benefits of therapy.
