Good morning.
I am prescribed bunorfine for tramal replacement therapy. Can I switch to buprenorphine if I haven't taken a lot of tramal? After all, buprenorphine is much stronger than tramal, so what's the problem with starting to take only it right away? Can you expect side effects?

Switching from Tramal to Buprenorphine should be carefully planned and supervised by a physician, as Buprenorphine is a more potent opioid and can trigger withdrawal symptoms if not properly introduced. Regardless of how much Tramal you have used, it is important that the introduction of Buprenorphine is gradual to minimize the risk of side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness or digestive discomfort. Consultation with a doctor will help adjust the dosage and monitor possible side effects when changing therapy.
