I started taking Ryeqo on the first day of the cycle. After 15 days, menstruation returned with short, frequent uterine contractions. Is this normal?

Good morning I started Ryeco on the first day of the cycle which lasted about a week then after 15 days it came back again with uterine cramps that last a few seconds many times a day is it normal?

Uterine contractions that occur after starting treatment with Ryeqo are a normal symptom, especially in the context of how Ryeqo works. Ryeqo is used to treat endometriosis and can affect the menstrual cycle and cause a variety of uterus-related symptoms, including irregular bleeding and cramping.

For contractions that last a few seconds and occur multiple times a day, it's important to monitor their intensity and frequency. If the cramps are very painful or accompanied by other worrying symptoms, such as heavy bleeding, it is recommended to contact a doctor to assess the situation.

It's also worth remembering that cramps can be related to the menstrual cycle and can occur during different phases of the cycle, including the time of ovulation. In women taking hormonal medications such as Ryeqo, the cycle may be less predictable, which can lead to these symptoms.

If you have doubts about this situation, it is always worth consulting a doctor who can provide more personalized advice. If you are not able to make a face-to-face visit, I attach a link to the online teleconsultation:
