How long should I use Gynoflor?

I was prescribed Gynoflor after Fluomyzon. I received a 6-pack from the substitute doctor, but he said that I should take more dosage at the beginning, later a lower dosage. Is Gynoflor more long-term? I can't reach my gynecologist or the representative right now. Is it correct if I now take the 6 tablets daily one after the other and then 2x a week?

The dose of Gynoflor should be decided by your doctor. The drug is used with different frequency depending on the situation and medical indications.

Dosing recommendations included in the summary of product characteristics:

- Restoration of vaginal flora, vaginal discharge:

1-2 vaginal tablets daily for 6-12 days

- Atrophic vaginitis:

For atrophic vaginosis, the recommended dose is 1 vaginal tablet daily for 6-12 days, followed by 1 vaginal tablet 1-2 times a week as a maintenance dose.

- To start and continue treatment of postmenopausal symptoms, use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time.
