Caution should be exercised when concomitant use of preparations containing berberine with antihypertensive and anticoagulant drugs (i.e. those mentioned in the question). Berberine may lower blood pressure and lead to excessive blood pressure in people taking cardiac medications. I suggest you discuss the possibility of using additional supplements with your doctor. If you are already taking the product, monitor your blood pressure.
