As I wrote in an earlier thread (https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/118542/dzien-dobry-bralem-comboterol-dwa-razy-na-dobe-teraz-mam-zamienio) it is difficult to clearly say which drug is better in a particular case. This can depend on many individual factors.
Comboterol contains salmeterol and fluticasone propionate. Salmeterol is a bronchodilator with an effect of about 12 hours, and fluticasone propionate is a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and swelling-reducing effects. The drug is used for the systematic treatment of bronchial asthma, as it prevents the occurrence of attacks of shortness of breath and wheezing in the respiratory tract.

On the other hand, Formodual contains formoterol and beclomethasone. Formoterol is a bronchodilator that also works for about 12 hours (the same mechanism of action as Salmeterol in Comboterol), and beclomethasone is an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid with swelling-reducing effects (similar to fluticasone propionate). Like Comboterol, this drug is intended for the systematic treatment of bronchial asthma.

Beclomethasone in Formodual is a prodrug that is converted into an active metabolite in the airway epithelium, so the risk of side effects is lower than fluticasone propionate (a component of Comboterol).
