Can Xarelto and cardiac medications be the cause of brittle nails?

Xarelto may cause skin disorders such as rash and pruritus, but the Summary of Product Characteristics does not mention the risk of nail or hair lesions (which does not mean that such a correlation cannot occur). I suggest performing diagnostics to rule out other reasons for the occurrence of such a problem (e.g. fungal infection). Brittle nails may be accompanied by, for example, deficiencies of iron and certain vitamins or hypothyroidism. Also, frequent use of nail polishes/cosmetic treatments on the nails can cause the nail plate to weaken.
