Good morning
A child of 4 years uses the nasal steroid Flixonase(has an enlarged tonsil). Since I have been using the drug she has a constant thick runny nose (12 days of use), is this normal? I would like to add that in December he used pronasal, but it "plugged" his nose and only for a runny nose does nasivin and sea water help him.

In case of persistent thick runny nose, especially in young children, to consider further steps of management. If you do not have the opportunity to take advantage of the advice, I am attaching a link to the online teleconsultation:

Flixonase is a glucocorticoid medicine used to treat allergic seasonal rhinitis and perennial rhinitis in adults and children. The occurrence of a thick runny nose is not mentioned as a side effect of the drug.
Only about 5% of patients treated with Flixonase may experience adverse reactions. The most common are irritation, excessive drying and bleeding from the nasal mucosa.
The GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to book the medicine at a selected stationary pharmacy and collect it after presenting a prescription:

There are no contraindications to the use of seawater and Nasivin during treatment with Flixonase, however, this treatment is only symptomatic and should not last longer than 5-7 days.
