Can a one-time application of Clotrimazole cream damage the condom during intercourse two days later?

I have a question: if I applied a small amount of Clotrimazolum hasco ointment on my labia on Wednesday at 11 p.m., I can have intercourse on Friday, i.e. after 2 days? On the leaflet write that It can damage the condom, but if I have only used it once plus I will wash myself 4 times until Friday so it will wash it off, does it affect the condom? I would understand more if I used a vaginal globule, but if the ointment was only for the labia?

Information in the summary of product characteristics:

"Topical clotrimazole can damage contraceptives made of latex (condoms and vaginal rings). Therefore, when applying clotrimazole to the mucous membranes of the external genitalia and for at least 5 days after discontinuing its use, barrier contraceptives made of latex should not be used."

The cream may remain on the labia minora or penetrate a little deeper after application to the mucous membranes. Hypothetically, some amount of the drug may remain within the intimate organs. The second thing is that I advise against intercourse if the symptoms indicate a risk of an intimate infection (as evidenced by e.g. itching). You can infect your partner and cause the ailment in your own body to worsen.

In case of any doubts, I encourage you to take advantage of the teleconsultation with a gynecologist, available on our website in the e-visit tab:
