Good morning
The doctor suspects that I have bronchial asthma. Therefore, at the moment I am taking Budesonide LEK-AM, 200 mcg - I have an appointment with a pulmonologist along with spirometry at the end of March. Should Budesonide be completely discontinued before spirometry? The doctor says it's best for 2 weeks before... but I'm afraid of how I'll function without him... Is there any guideline anywhere as to when to discontinue Budesonide 200mg before spirometry?

It may be worth consulting your doctor again and determining whether it is absolutely necessary to stop taking Budesonide before spirometry.
According to available information and guidelines, there is no need to discontinue glucocorticoids (e.g. Budesonide) prior to this study.
According to the guidelines - included in the literature - "A global strategy for the diagnosis and prevention of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease."
"Do not take (if possible) inhaled medicines, including: - Short-acting beta-mimetics 8 hours before the test (Ventolin, Salbutamol) - Long-acting beta-mimetics 12 hours before the test (Formoterol, Salmeterol) - Short-acting anticholinergics (Atrovent) 6 hours prior to the test - Long-acting anticholinergics (Spiriva) 7 days prior to the study"
