Combining these drugs is not advisable.

Their simultaneous intake causes an increased risk of lactic acidosis, especially in the case of kidney and liver failure, dehydration or alcohol abuse.

Lactic acidosis does not have typical symptoms. Gastrointestinal symptoms include nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea. On the part of the respiratory system, the so-called Kussmaul breath may appear, i.e. very deep breathing with an increased frequency. The patient may complain of muscle aches and dizziness.

If medications have been prescribed by different doctors, a consultation is necessary to determine if the benefits of taking them outweigh the risk of interactions.

Please also note that both medicines are subject to a prescription and should be used as prescribed. None of the drugs can be taken on their own, and the decision to include them in the therapy can only be made by a doctor based on the test results.
