I'm taking Lacipil. Unfortunately, there was swelling of the lower extremities.
Today I stopped taking this medication (switching to another one). How long does it take for the swelling to disappear? How long does this medicine last in the bloodstream?

The swelling may begin to subside a few days after stopping Lacipil, but it may take a few weeks for the symptoms to fully subside. Lacipil has a half-life of 13-19 hours, which means that when the drug is discontinued, its concentration in the blood gradually decreases until it is completely eliminated after about five half-lives, i.e. about 100 hours.
However, the individual time it takes for the drug to leave the body can vary depending on a number of factors, such as age, gender, kidney and liver function. I encourage you to consult your doctor for more precise information about Lacipil.
