The combination of Spironol and Kalipoz is contraindicated. This combination should not be used as it can lead to severe hyperkalaemia - an excess of potassium in the blood. The most common symptoms of hyperkalaemia are: apathy, muscle weakness, sensory disturbances, confusion, muscle cramps, and, less commonly, muscle paralysis and convulsions, circulatory symptoms (bradycardia, i.e. slowing of the heart). If you notice any of these symptoms, you should urgently consult a doctor.
