Is Dalacin C a safe drug and can it cause colitis?
Hello, I have staphylococcus aureus, before having this result I had started an antibiotic ciproxin now the doctor told me to replace it with dalacin c, but I read that it can give problems of colitis etc is it a well tolerated drug? Or does it often have contraindications? Thank you

Dalacin C, like any other medicine, can cause side effects. Inflammation of the intestines is one of the common side effects of this drug - however, it does not occur in all patients. Patients with intestinal diseases, especially after colitis, are particularly at risk.
If you experience diarrhoea, severe abdominal pain or other worrying symptoms during or within a few weeks after treatment, you should consult your doctor.
