Is it safe to use Tantum Verde for sore throat in pregnancy?

Good morning, I wanted to buy tantum verde throat spray. I'm 13 weeks pregnant and I've heard that it can be used. However, at the pharmacy they gave me a replacement for inaldin throat claiming that it was the same thing. Can I actually use it while pregnant?

Both medicines contain the same substance – benzidamine hydrochloride. However, the manufacturer of Tantum Verde states that there are only limited data on the use of benzidamine in pregnant women. Therefore, it is not indicated in pregnant patients.

Please remember that you should contact your doctor before taking any medication while pregnant.
