Isn't 4 ml of Ospamox for a 14.5 kg child too low?

My son was given the antibiotic Ospamox yesterday for laryngitis in a dose of 4 ml with a weight of 14.5, isn't that enough?

The usual recommended dose of Ospamox 250 mg/5 ml for a 14.5 kg child is 580 mg per day, i.e. 11.6 ml suspension per day in 2-3 divided doses.
Perhaps your doctor has recommended 4 ml of suspension 3 times a day? Then it would be in line with what the manufacturer of the drug recommends.

Consult your paediatrician again to see if you have a clear understanding of your child's dosage.

If you do not have the opportunity to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:
