The protective ointment with vitamin A contains 800 IU of vitamin A per gram. The daily dose of vitamin A for a child over 2 years of age is up to 3000 IU. The package of the ointment is 15 grams. I doubt that the child has ingested more than a gram.

Additional ingredients:

- White petroleum jelly

- Palsgaard 0291

- Lemon flavour

- Purified water

Consumption of petroleum jelly may have a laxative effect.

None of the ingredients are therefore toxic.
Always keep medication out of your child's reach.
