Tetralysal Schwangerschaft (Anonymous, 31.10.168.) Warszawa 5 months ago

I was taking Tetralysal and it turned out that I was pregnant - what should I do?

Good day

I took Tetralysal for 7 days. My dermatologist has assured me that in the event of pregnancy, I can discontinue it immediately. When I was with her I didn't know that I was pregnant, only after these 7 days of taking Tetralysal I did the test because of 1 day of missing my period and it was suddenly positive. Now I'm scared because my pharmacist told me that this drug is forbidden to prescribe to women of childbearing age. I didn't know anything about that because my dermatologist didn't tell me. Can you help me?

Information in the summary of product characteristics:

"Do not use during pregnancy.
Tetracyclines are selectively absorbed by developing bone tissue and teeth, which can cause subsequent hypoplasia and discoloration of tooth enamel in children. "

Therefore, the treatment should be discontinued and the gynaecologist should be consulted as soon as possible.

On our website, you can order a teleconsultation with a gynaecologist - the service is available in the e-visit tab:
