Hello. I was given Clindamycin-MIL 600 by my dentist, and today I was also given the Duomox antibiotic by my internist. Can I take both of these antibiotics at the same time? Thank you in advance for your advice.

If the medication was prescribed by two different doctors and the other doctor did not know that you were already using an antibiotic, a second consultation is advisable.
Most bacteria that are sensitive to amoxicillin (the active ingredient in Duomox) are also sensitive to clindamycin (the active ingredient in Clindamicin MIP 600). Unlike amoxicillin, clindamycin treats or prevents infections with anaerobic bacteria. Amoxicillin, on the other hand, generally penetrates tissue better than clindamycin. So, depending on the type of infection you're trying to treat, you may only need one of them.
