Good morning. I've been taking Roswera 10 mg and at the same time a 600 mg (10:1) white mulberry supplement with 100 mg cinnamon bark extract (4:1). Only now have I learned that white mulberry, and even more so cinnamon (coumarin), are not advisable when taking statins. Is this true and should I discontinue this supplement? If this is true, is it simply an additional lowering of cholesterol or perhaps unforeseen side effects (hepatitis, high ALAT/ASPAT, etc.). Currently, my liver tests are 2 times higher than the upper normal (I started taking Proursan) and I wonder if it's not because of the mulberry and cinnamon. Thanks to statins, my cholesterol is normal and my blood sugar is at the upper limit of normal.

No, in this case there are no objective contraindications and there should be no interactions harmful to health or the effects of drugs. Nevertheless, I encourage you to inform your doctor about all currently used medications and dietary supplements, which will allow you to choose safe and effective pharmacotherapy.
If you do not have the possibility of an in-person visit, I encourage you to take advantage of the teleconsultation, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

White mulberry and cinnamon are natural substances that have been repeatedly studied for their potential health benefits, but the evidence for the cholesterol-lowering efficacy of white mulberry and cinnamon preparations is limited.
