Can Desmoxan be used in a patient over the age of 65?
My husband is 77 years old and smokes a lot m Can he use Desmoxan???? The leaflet states the age up to 65 years.

Recigar should only be taken by people with a serious intention to wean themselves off tobacco, as taking it and continuing to smoke may lead to increased nicotine side effects. This is especially dangerous for patients with cardiovascular risk factors, which increases rapidly in people over 65. Therefore, if you are over 65 years of age, Desmoxan should only be used after consultation with a doctor who will be aware of the patient's condition and will be able to assess the patient's motivation to use the medicine.
Why is it forbidden to use Desmoxan over the age of 65?
