Treatment of chronic hepatitis C with interferon-free therapy
After completing the 8-week treatment with Maviret, the bilirubin level jumped to 2.0.
Before the treatment, the level was normal. Is this a normal situation?

A common side effect (may affect up to 1 in 10 but affects more than 1 in 100) reported with Maviret was an increase in total bilirubin. In clinical trials, bilirubin increases were asymptomatic, transient and usually occurred early in treatment, but this does not mean that all patients will experience the same adverse reaction. Laboratory abnormalities should be discussed with your doctor in order to find a clear cause of the elevated bilirubin level in your case.
