Flucofast (Anonymous, 5.173.69.) Warszawa 6 months ago

Is a dose of 2x 200mg for 6 days the correct dose for recurrent fungal skin lesions?

Is a dose of 2x 200mg for 6 days the correct dose for recurrent fungal skin lesions with a diameter of 1-2cm?

I'm concerned because Flucofast is a very powerful drug. According to the leaflet, these are much smaller doses.

Please advise me

As a pharmacist, I am not able to give personalized medical advice because it requires a detailed evaluation and diagnosis. In the case of treatment of mycosis of the skin, it is recommended to consult a dermatologist who will be able to accurately assess the condition and recommend the appropriate dosage and treatment regimen.

Flucofast, like other antifungal medicines, has different recommended doses depending on the type of infection, the severity of the infection, and the individual characteristics of the patient. Therefore, it is important for the patient to consult their concerns with their doctor. Please remember that antifungal medications should be taken as prescribed by your doctor and the dosage should be tailored to your individual needs.

If you are not able to take advantage of the advice, I am attaching a link to the online teleconsultation, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

The GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to book the medicine at a selected stationary pharmacy and collect it after presenting a prescription: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/30542/flucofast-kapsulki/apteki
