The dose and duration of antibiotic treatment is determined by your doctor based on your condition. According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, the recommended dosage for a child weighing 17 kg is 10 mg/kg body weight per day, i.e. 170 mg, which corresponds to 4.25 ml. The dosage set by your doctor is within the manufacturer's recommendations. If you are still unsure about the dose of your medication, discuss it with your doctor.
