As with any medication, side effects can occur while using it.
In the case of Doxycycline, the following may appear:
- from the digestive system – nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, glossitis, difficulty swallowing, inflammation and ulceration of the esophagus, inflammation of the intestine, inflammatory changes around the anus. These symptoms are usually mild and disappear when the drug is discontinued.
-musculoskeletal system – joint pain, muscle pain.
A particularly high risk of side effects arises with long-term use of Doxycycline. According to the manufacturer, these symptoms usually disappear after the end of treatment.
However, if you are concerned about the situation or the ailments are so intense that they hinder your functioning, you should see a doctor.

Please remember that when using antibiotics, especially long-term, it is very important to use a probiotic.
