Good afternoon, I am interested in whether it is possible to perform cataract eye surgery after the Prolia injection. Are there any time limits, maybe some time interval is needed, because the instructions for Prolia indicate restrictions on dental manipulations. This is probably due to anesthesia. Thank you.

I do not find any information in the literature confirming that cataract surgery is contraindicated during treatment with Prolia. There are also no guidelines indicating the need to maintain a time interval between drug administration and ophthalmic procedures.
The limitations of performing invasive dental procedures in patients receiving Prolia are due to the fact that such procedures are a risk factor for osteonecrosis of the jaw, which is one of the potential side effects of the medicinal product.
