Good morning.
Does the 120-day dispensing of the drug under the regulations in force from September 21, 2023 apply to doses from 1 prescription, or do doses from different prescriptions add up? What if there are 2 prescriptions for each 120 day dose? Can such 2 prescriptions be filled in the same or 2 different pharmacies?

According to current regulations, a patient can receive a single amount of medicine for a maximum of 120 days of treatment. This provision applies both to the doctor who writes the prescription and to the pharmacist who fills it. If you have two prescriptions and a 120-day dose of the drug on both of them, you can easily fill them in two different pharmacies (it is not possible to verify the amount of the dispensed medicine at the level of use at different points, but the control authorities may ask the doctor who doubled the dose of the drug for an explanation). It is likely that most pharmacies will fill both prescriptions at the same time, although it may happen that one of the pharmacies will have doubts about the interpretation of the provision in the regulation. Unfortunately, imprecise and changeable regulations, combined with the need to pay high fines in the event of an inspection, cause difficulties that ultimately also affect the patient.
Below is a brief information on the new rules for filling prescriptions:
