The decision on whether and how to reduce the dose of Flutixone is up to your doctor, who is familiar with your medical condition in detail. Acute adrenal crisis is very rare at doses between 250 μg and 500 μg of fluticasone propionate (the active ingredient in Flutixon). Rapid dose reduction in rare cases may induce acute adrenal crisis.
