Do alcohol and cigarettes cause an increased pulse?

Hello, often my heart beats very hard and fast, once in a while it will also hit irregularly, I'm not sure but I think I counted over 100 beats per minute. This happens most often after drinking beer or lighting a cigarette, a strong heartbeat does not pass so quickly usually only after about 30 minutes, is it normal or is it better to go to the doctor? I will add that I am 20 years old and have never had heart problems.

Both alcohol and nicotine can lead to a short-term increase in frequency and irregular heartbeat.
