I've never had herpes and today a lump popped out on my lips. Could this be the beginning of herpes?

There is a high probability that this is the beginning of cold sores. The HSV virus is responsible for the appearance of cold sores on the lips. Infection occurs through droplets through direct contact with a sick person (e.g. through saliva, touching a wound, contact with the oral cavity). Sometimes the virus is transmitted through the use of shared cups or cutlery.
