Good morning. For 4 days I have been taking an antibiotic for sinuses doxicillin. One tablet in the evening. I still have 4 tablets left. Today I started to feel numbness in the throat area, is it possible that this is a side effect of the antibiotic? I do not know whether I should continue to take or stop taking and I have a doctor tomorrow.

This is not a typical side effect of an antibiotic. However, if you have, for example, shortness of breath, chest pain, swelling, you should contact your doctor as soon as possible. The feeling of numbness in the throat alone is not an indication to stop antibiotic therapy. Side effects of medications should always be reported to the doctor, which we write about here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane
