The reimbursement indications for Januvia are: "In oral therapy, in combination with metformin: type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients whose use of metformin at the maximally tolerated dose alone does not allow to achieve good glycaemic control, HbA1c>7% (for at least 3 months)". In addition to the age criterion, the senior must also meet the above criterion in order to receive the drug at a discount.
