What can I take for toothache if I have chronic gastritis?

I am after cleaning the canals before root canal treatment. Ahead of me is a trip abroad. After a week of antibiotic therapy, I feel a slight stout tooth. What can I take with me if it actually starts to hurt? What strong drug is worth buying? PS I have chronic gastritis

Gastritis excludes the use of non-steroidal analgesics and anti-inflammatory drugs due to the irritant effect of the gastrointestinal tract. Pain can be relieved by taking paracetamol or stronger pyralgine. These are drugs that have analgesic and antipyretic effects.
