Can I split Zolafren?

The daughter is prescribed Zolafren 5 mg. The doctor recommended half a tablet in the evening for eating disorders but I read that despite the marked groove, the tablet should not be divided. Can I split it? There is no Zolafrene at a dose of 2.5 mg.

It is usually not recommended to split film-coated tablets (e.g. Zolafren), as breaking the continuity of the coating may affect the absorption of the substances contained in the tablet. However, if it is necessary and the procedure was recommended by a doctor, then you can divide the tablet.
