Can the result of the vaginal smear be falsified if I used vaginal gels the day before?
Good morning, I would like to ask about the vaginal smear. Today 25.07 at night I used mucovagin gel, and in the afternoon around 5 pm feminum gel, tomorrow I would like to do a vaginal swab. Can these gels falsify the result?

The test result may be falsified. 48 hours before taking the smear, you should refrain from sexual intercourse, the use of drugs or vaginal preparations, tampons and performing irrigation (rinsing) of the vagina.
