Good morning, I started using Evra contraceptive patches. After one day I noticed that dirt accumulates on the edges of the patch (under it), so I decided to change the patch. The second patch soaked in the shower after two days, so I changed the patch again. Is protection maintained in this regard? Which day should I leave as "Change of patch day"? Is a wrinkled patch (i.e. not glued with the entire surface) effective?

The protection is maintained, but - if the patch has not peeled off, but only dirt is collected under it, or you observe air bubbles, there is no indication to replace the patch with a new one. The "day of changing the patch" remains unchanged - if, for example, you applied the first patch on Monday, in the meantime on Wednesday and Friday you replaced the patch with a new one, then on Monday you should stick another new patch. Therefore, in 1 cycle you will use not 3, but e.g. 5 patches, but the cycle lasts 3 weeks + 7 days break, i.e. the total treatment should not exceed 4 weeks.
