How absorbed is clindamycin after vaginal administration?

Good morning, I received clindamycin globules vaginally. I try to find information about how much they are absorbed when applied to the body, unfortunately to no avail. The leaflet says that diarrhea may occur, but does this apply to vaginal globules? I had clostridium in September 2022, the gynecologist knew about it by prescribing it to a bacterium that came out in the culture. I'm confused because I don't know what to do? Can this medicine be absorbed all the way into the intestine? Best regards

According to studies, about 30% (ranging from 6% to 70%) of the dose of clindmaycin administered in the form of vaginal globules is absorbed systemically. In addition, it must be taken into account that doses administered vaginally are much lower than standard doses administered orally. The SmPC states that "The systemic exposure to vaginal globules of clindamycin is significantly lower than the systemic exposure to therapeutic doses of oral clindamycin hydrochloride (2 to 20 times less) or parenteral clindamycin phosphate (40 to 50 times lower)." Therefore, the probability of side effects, such as diarrhea, with proper use of the drug is negligible.
