Which Foley catheter will be the longest open?

I take care of my mother at home after a stroke. Her urological catheter is often clogged. Do you know which foley catheter has the largest openings (i.e. it stays open longer) in the urine collection tip? Best regards. Marta Wojcik

Foley catheters come in different sizes. In adult patients, Foley catheters size 18 French catheters are most commonly used in men and 16 F catheters in women. Sometimes a catheter with a larger diameter (20-22) is used. In case of problems with frequent clogging of the catheter, it is worth seeking nursing advice.
