Opzelura (ruxolitinib cream), used to treat non-segmented vitiligo with facial involvement in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age, has been approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Currently, the drug is not yet available to patients in Poland. Activities are underway to enable its distribution on the Polish market. Information on the availability of the drug will be provided after its introduction to local distribution, the manufacturer informed. At the same time, several centers in Poland are conducting clinical trials evaluating the use of this drug in children aged 6 to 12 years. Interested persons may apply for participation in clinical trials.

To @Damian:
At the moment, there are no registered substitutes. There is no new information regarding plans for further distribution of the drug on the Polish market.
Hello, do you know anything if the opzelura will be reimbursed despite the decision from last year, or if there will be any replacement in Poland?
I used opzelure as part of clinical trials in Poland. After a few months, the spots on my face actually disappeared for about a year, maybe longer. Unfortunately, they came back again.
That's all on the subject.
Good afternoon. In Egypt there is an analogue of Ruxotop, maybe someone knows if it is effective? The price tag is about 60 euros
Anyone know how to use this medicine
You write interesting things about this new drug. Sounds promising. My daughter's face spots came off after Elidel, and on her elbows after Ovixan. Our doctor said that you should use it for a few months to see if the ointments work in a given case. My daughter has a large stain on her leg and small ones on her hands, so I'll be happy to check out this new drug. My daughter knows that she is as beautiful with spots as she is without.
Opzelura cream can be purchased in Gerlitz on the basis of a Polish paper prescription issued by a general practitioner. Cost around 960 euros per tube. There is a Polish woman who explains everything to the customer over the phone.
Would anyone be able to send the drug to Polish? I have vitiligo spots on my face and I can no longer stand the gaze of strangers on the street, in the store and other public places. Neither Protopic nor phototherapy work. Please
Do any of you have the opportunity to get this Opzelura cream
It's only possible in Poland, I wish I pay 2100 for insurance and I don't get anything out of it, it's sick
Thank you for contacting Incyte’s Medical Information service with your enquiry concerning Opzelura® (ruxolitinib cream 1.5%).
Opzelura is currently not commercialized in Poland. Incyte is working to put in place a solution during the 2nd half of 2025 to provide Opzelura in your country. Until then, Opzelura can be obtain from international pharmacies.
Czyli może do końca roku się pojawi.
If anyone had doubts about how the state is making us uncles, the website bip.aotm.gov.pl full documentation and recommendations of people who, also referring to financial arguments, took away hope from many people
I pay 3 thousand zlotys every month to the Social Insurance Institution, a health contribution of 1.5k and I never got anything out of it, I was waiting for this one medicine and I didn't get it.
I lost all trust in this spectacular creature that can only milk without giving anything in return.
Why is there no access to this drug in this shitty, shitty country? Even in India they have
evik89 I'm super happy, unfortunately we just don't have the opportunity to get this ointment, my daughter has discoloration mainly on her face, she uses protopic ointment but unfortunately it doesn't help 😐, I can ask how you got this ointment?
@MamaMilki yes, I use an ointment for vitiligo. I had a lot of changes, mainly neck, elbows, knees and hands. At the moment, after 4 months of use, I can see mega changes and repigmentation. I am very happy with the results. If you have the opportunity, I recommend it. Greetings and good luck!
@Dzejzi ointment with German insurance costs 10 euros, but there must be a prescription from a specialist and full German health insurance.
evik89 Hello, do you use an ointment for vitiligo? And could I ask you to contact me? I need this ointment for my daughter very much, unfortunately I don't have any friends who could get it for me in Germany or Austria 😐
@evik89 Does a prescription ointment cost 10€? And where can you buy it? I got information that in Germany with a prescription 400 zlotys costs.
Hi, I'm already using the fourth tube of the ointment and let me tell you that it looks promising because a lot of brown pigment spots appeared on my elbows and the spot on the back of my neck was almost completely colored. The worst is with the hands, because I haven't noticed any major changes here. I get this ointment through friends in Germany and Austria, because unfortunately I don't get it in Poland and probably never will get it, because the ointment without reimbursement costs 1000 euros, and for indication and prescription from a dermatologist 10 euros. Good luck!
What does it look like in the Czech Republic, anyone know? Is the drug available on prescription there?
Thank you in advance for any information.
What is the situation? Is the drug available now? Will it be reimbursed?
In which pharmacy in Germany is this medicine available? Do they accept the Polish prescription? Please let me know in which pharmacies you can get the ointment. Thank you in advance for your reply :)
I'm going to have to make sure I need a maze
Is this medicine reimbursed in any other country?
The drug will not be reimbursed.
This is a decision from April this year
Hello, is there any new information regarding the availability of the drug in Poland?
@Angelika Talar, please let me know as soon as it is known that Opzelura is already available in Poland, or when there will be information when it may be. Patients are waiting impatiently for such news
Best regards
Hello, do you know if the drug is available in France / if so, what is the price?

The drug is registered in a central procedure - automatically in all EU countries. At the same time, in April this year, it received a positive recommendation from the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariff System. However, the date of the first delivery of the drug to Polish is unknown.
He has already contacted the manufacturer of this drug from Switzerland and the importer from the Netherlands. As soon as I get a response, it will be posted below this post.
Please tell me if this ointment will be available in Poland or if it can be imported from abroad
Thank you very much for your answer. I am devastated by the Ministry's decision.
Hello. So I am to understand that the drug will not be reimbursed in Poland, but I understand that it will be sold on prescription? In that case, if such a decision has already been made, what can be the approximate optimal time for drugs to appear on sale in Polish pharmacies? It's a matter of days, months...??

To @Magda:
Yes, it is true that Opzelura (ruxolitinib) will not be reimbursed in Poland. Opzelura is the first approved drug for the treatment of vitiligo in adults and children aged 12 years and older, but the Ministry of Health has decided not to cover it with reimbursement in our country.
Is it true that Opzelura will not be reimbursed in Poland? Best regards
To Dag🤗, please write to me how your sister gets this prescription in Germany
Good morning
to DAGA - congratulations on the progress in the treatment of the disease, you may need a little more time for a lasting effect.
I'm in the process of arranging a prescription and purchase in Germany with my doctor. DAGA, if you may ask/ask for a hint - how can a doctor in Germany write a prescription for a drug with such reimbursement.

To @Anula:
The drug is Opzelura registered in Poland since August 2023, however, it is still unavailable in pharmacies in Poland.
As soon as we have any information, it will be posted here:
Hello, I wanted to ask about the drug oplezura, is it available in Poland or can it be ordered from abroad
Good morning
I used this cream, the spots disappeared on my face, unfortunately they came back again. You probably need to use it all the time when it reappears. My sister lives in Germany and there she only pays 10 euros for it on prescription .
I don't think there will be such a refund in Poland, which is a pity
Best regards
Emti and how about it?
To Majacaplamy- thank you for the information. Maybe I'll be able to get a😒 prescription
Opzelure buys in Germany958€
on the basis of a Polish paper prescription issued by a dermatologist.
Not every doctor wants to issue even privately.
When buying in Germany, the condition is to send the prescription to the pharmacy and indicate the address to which they have to send it, but it must be in Germany outside the borders they do not send (I gave the address of friends). It's a bit of a nuisance, but I've already ordered a third tube to do.
I bought it and I use it, I hope there will be results
I am also waiting for this drug.
