Hello. Does Atrodil help after covid when there are difficulties with expectoration of secretions. I don't have COPD, asthma, or bronchospasm. The doctor prescribed it for me to cough up mucus. Could it possibly help?

Atrodil can be used to treat certain respiratory diseases, m.in chronic bronchitis, asthma and emphysema, which can cause breathing difficulties and expectoration. This drug improves bronchial patency and lung ventilation, and also prevents systolic reflexes. However, if the difficulty of expectoration is due to excessive accumulation of mucus in the airways, then in this case Atrodil may not be effective enough. In this situation, expectorants such as Ambroxol or Guajazyl are usually used. Ambroxol: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/4534/ambroksol-hasco-syrop/apteki Guajazyl: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/33978/guajazyl-syrop/apteki If in doubt, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. It is the doctor who decides whether to treat the patient m.in based on the history of the disease and the previous response to treatment. Only a doctor can decide on a possible change in pharmacotherapy. The GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with a doctor: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja
