Are spotting normal with such a thing, or is it better to observe it?

Hello. About 2 weeks ago I had a visit to the gynecologist due to irregular menstruation and I was getting brown vaginal discharge. The gynecologist after the ultrasound examination stated that "I have something like pcos". After a week I came with the test results and got mioVELIA PCOS tablets from him to see if they could help somehow. However, before I started taking them, I started getting spotting. Is this normal with such a thing or is it better to observe it?

Spotting outside the term of menstruation (intracyclic spotting) in any case should be consulted with a gynecologist. They do not necessarily mean a disease (e.g. they may be associated with ovulation, embryo implantation, use of hormonal contraception or minor trauma), but the doctor must check whether they are not the cause of hormonal disorders or female diseases. PCOS, or polycystic ovary syndrome, can cause various types of cycle disorders, including spotting. However, as I have already mentioned - every disturbing symptom should not only be observed, but also consulted with a gynecologist.
